UCLA Film and Television Summer Programs is seeking Program Assistants. This position includes administrative duties and supporting programmatic events, field trips, and film productions.
Appointment A: June 16th – September 14th, 2025*
Appointment B: June 16th – August 1st, 2025*

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with office/administrative tasks is required. *
- Experience with office software programs such as Word and Excel required. *
- Experience with social media marketing is preferred. *
- A flexible schedule with some weekend, evening, and early morning availability is required.*
- Experience with High School and College-aged students is preferred.*
- Complete a fingerprinting/live scan background check with UCPD, a requirement for working with minors at UCLA.
- Complete a food-handling certificate is required.
- Attend one day of in-person training and online golf cart training.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving a golf cart.

Interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis as applications come in from early March to mid-April and will be held either on campus or over Zoom.
MAIN JOB DUTIES
- Aid the Director and Coordinators of Summer Programs for the Department of Film, Television, and
- Digital Media as directed.
- Support office staff in clerical duties, such as printing, copying, filing, organization, and responding to program-related emails.
- Must complete program-specific training in UCLA policies regarding minors, including, but not limited to CANRA, Title IX, and cyber security.
- Hands-on support including organizing supplies, updating inventory, and handling food preparation for events and film shoots.
- Provide general administrative support to the Coordinators and Director of Summer Programs, and interfacing with other TFT units such as the Business Office, I.T. Support, and Student Services.
- Support or lead program activities and events, such as set-up, check-in, and break-down, and clean-up following each program event.
- Help capture and promote positive learning experiences and events on Emerging Filmmakers social media sites.
- Be ready for the unexpected and help staff solve issues in the office, on film shoots, and during events with composure and positivity.
ALL SUMMER PROGRAMS ASSISTANTS MUST:
Comply with UCLA policies and procedures and act consistently with the University’s mission and guiding principles.
Play an integral role in achieving the highest level of academic, personal, and social development for program participants.
Help provide a safe learning environment by ensuring program rules, regulations, and safety expectations are followed.
Be a positive role model to young filmmakers. Positive role models are encouraging, supportive and responsible.
Be able to move above and beyond the basic requirements of tasks given to be proactive in supporting the students, instructors, staff, and programs.
Take pride in work well done and in a timely fashion.
COMPENSATION
- $22 - $24/hr
